The joy of cell phones!

Once nice thing about cell phones is that while I sit at work my kids often send me little video clips of what's going on in the house during the day. Isabel sent me this funny clip of Darby as she attacked the "Oh So Mean" vacuum?? She does this every single time you try to vacuum around the house... she just hates that thing!

    Amy brought up a good point the other day...I post too many pictures of Bailey and not enough of Darby. Well, Bailey is much more photogenic while Darby on the other hand... want nothing to do with pictures. Like clockwork, when I pull out the camera and aim it on Darby she turns her head! EVERY SINGLE TIME! Bailey on the other had, well she's a diva!

Shark Eyes

     Is it just Darby or does your Weim get what we like to call "shark eyes" when mad? I call it shark eyes because her pupils get really large and coal black. If you get in her space while she's laying down, look out! Or in the case of the pictures above Bailey was getting on her nerves so Darby turned into JAWS!

Anyway, that's all I got today... C'mon Susummertime!

Our Clan....

Bailey - Glacier - Darby

Here is our entire clan... I know, you normally do not see Glacier but she's old... and blind for the most part. As you can see in this picture she's not even looking at me :( 

Glacier has been with us since she's about 12 wks old and she is now 13... We know she'll not be with us much longer and it's really going to hurt when that day comes. She's been an amazing part of our family for many years. I just wanted to share this with you today.... I feel that time is coming soon and it's so hard to make that decision... Just when I think it's time, she kicks back in and tells us no.

A Damn Fine Weim



"Gimme 5"



         Over the past few years we've been lucky to meet many fine individuals from our favorite online Weimaraner forum weimaraneraddict.com. Even though we may not have never physically met some of these people we fell like we know them through their stories and pictures they so gratefully share with us on a daily basis. Last week our community lost a Damn Fine Weim named Blue.

You may know the name "Blue" because Blue was a top runner in our wingspan contest a few weeks ago. I thought we'd take a day and post a few pictures of Blue that Kellyann shared with us. Instead of concentrating on the loss of Blue, we'll celebrate his life through a few notable pictures and a short paragraph about Blue that Kellyann shared with us.

Blue's 7th Birthday

From Kellyann: 

"Blue was our heart dog. He found us at a time when we, too needed rescuing! We never imagined the world he could have opened up for us. We met people we would have never met... new friends, trainers, all the people in our new neighborhood (we even called him the Mayor of McKenzie Ave!), rescue people, other Weim Addicts... we have gone places we never would have; meeting other Weimaraner people has taken us all over to events and gatherings...Chris also found his true calling because of all the training he did with Blue.



Blue graced the pages of Us magazine with his "gimme 5" pose and is forever memorialized as a tattoo on Chris' leg. He was a wise old soul with warm kind eyes that looked like they held the secrets of the world.


He was loved beyond belief and will be missed immeasurably."
