Welcome :)

Darby assuming her usual position for bedtime every night.

It's nice to be back at our blog and we look forward to posting pictures & videos of these goofy dogs!! We started this blog up earlier this year right after we rescued Bailey and thought this blog would be a great way to share the day-to-day happenings in our crazy household. I say "crazy household" because we live in Cleveland (yes, in Cleveland), we have a typical C-Town house, a small yard, 3 kids under the age of 11, a 13 year old Samoyed named Glacier, a rescue Weim named Darby, a rescue Weim named Bailey, a bunny, a parakeet, and sadly lost a Weim (Kam) to bloat a couple years ago..... We're not your average family, but we love it this way...(well, maybe without the bunny and parakeet!) ha ha! And believe it or not I'm thinking it may be time for another Weim.... perhaps a puppy this time around?

We wanted to share our success story rescuing Weimaraners and thought this blog would be a great avenue to do so. If you currently do not own a weim and are thinking about rescuing a Weim I hope the pictures, videos, and blogs you read here will help you make a decision to help one of the many Weims out there that are desperately in need of a loving home. You can read a little more about our "story" here.

If you can't tell by now, we love these dogs and we know there are a ton of other people out there that also love the breed. You can support us by simply following this blog by clicking the "Follow" tab on the lower left side of this blog.

If you have a blog or website we'd be glad to share your link as well as follow your blog. In return we ask you do the same.

Falling Asleep while standing

Wow, it's been a while since we started this blog up but I think we're finally at the point to start actually using it. I've uploaded a few videos to YouTube on our new channel (don't mind the crappy quality, the videos were recorded on my iPhone).

Falling asleep

Bailey relaxing on a lazy summer afternoon

I swear these dogs fall asleep standing up! It's hilarious to watch! First their eyes start to get heavy... then they look spaced out and can't even focus, then their eyes close, legs start to shake..... now they're starting to sway back and forth.... after a few seconds they lose their balance and almost fall over and catch themselves just in time!

The funny part about it is that both Bailey and Darby do this.. and all the time. They just can't go relax and laydown somewhere, nooooo..... they need to be right next to ya like they're gonna miss something.

Faces

C'mon in!

I thought this picture fit since we've been experiencing a rash of robberies around my neighborhood lately. I'd hate to be the person to smash my window and stare Darby in the eyes! That is for sure! There is no doubt in my mind that my pups would have a field day with a robber in the middle of the night... I pity the fool! Check out that crazy overbite!!
