Cleveland Ohio Weim Meet & Greet Plans

I've been thinking about this for some time and with all the chatter on weimaraneraddict.com forums I've decided to champion a Weim Meet & Greet this spring here in the Cleveland  Ohio Area. I'm just starting to look into this idea now but I have a location in mind for this meeting.

We frequently go to the Lake Erie lake shore to take the dogs to swim and there in a nice little dog friendly beach area on the west side of Cleveland that is the perfect place. We can save a pavilion with grills and the pups can swim all day long.... I thought I'd post a few pictures for the area that we go to so you can get an idea what to expect. I'll look into this more over the next few weeks. If you're interested in helping out let me know! I think a "pot luck" type of a 'cookout" would be the best idea.... I'll start looking at dates...

Weim meet ups are fun. Like I told you we have the one in Columbus each year and it is so much fun to see over 20 Weims running and playing. :)

Hi - this sounds like a lot of fun. I would really be interested in meeting up. Jackson is 13-1/2 Months old right now with not too much time in the water. Just curious - where is this? I am from the west side of Cleveland and was not familiar with a dog friendly beach. Would be nice to have somewhere else to take him on an outing.
Thank you for getting the meet and greet started here in the area.

Hey Denise,

Info here: http://www.rrcity.com/rec/rocky_river_park_improvements.htm

This is a public park and there are always people with their pups. My girls love it! (Kids & dogs)

I'm in!

Let me know when and what you need me to do. We are planning a vacation mid-June, so I hope it's not then. :)

Thanks for sharing Sean the beach location. Can't wait to take Jackson there. Let me know if you need any help with the meet and greet.
